Privacy policy
Last updated: May 27, 2026
This is the privacy policy for michaelfielden.com, the website of Michael Fielden, a Realtor with Luxuriant Realty (CA DRE# 01932285). I wrote this in plain English. If anything is unclear, ask me.
What this site collects
When you visit michaelfielden.com, two things happen automatically:
- Google Analytics records anonymous traffic data — pages visited, how long, rough geographic region, device type. It uses cookies. I review this in aggregate to understand which content is useful.
- The webserver logs your IP address briefly for security and rate-limiting purposes, as is standard for any website.
When you fill out the contact form, you give me directly:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number (optional)
- What you’re interested in (buying, selling, both, general)
- Your message
That form is processed by Web3Forms, which delivers it to my email. Web3Forms has its own privacy policy that applies to their handling of the data in transit.
What I do with this information
- Contact form submissions are used to reply to you. If you express active interest in buying or selling, your information becomes part of my client record under California real estate law. It may be shared with my brokerage (Luxuriant Realty) as required by the regulations governing brokerage practice.
- Analytics data is reviewed in aggregate. I don’t sell it. I don’t transfer it to other parties for advertising.
What I don’t do
- I don’t sell your information.
- I don’t add you to a marketing newsletter unless you explicitly subscribe.
- I don’t pixel your visits for ad retargeting.
- I don’t use your information to train AI models.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses Google Analytics cookies (_ga and similar). You can opt out by:
- Installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on
- Blocking third-party cookies in your browser
- Enabling “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control (GPC) — I honor both signals
Your rights under California law
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to know what personal information I have collected about you
- Right to delete that information, subject to legal retention requirements (real estate transaction records, for instance, must be kept for a defined period under California Department of Real Estate rules)
- Right to correct inaccurate information
- Right to opt out of any sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising — I don’t do this, but you have the right regardless
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of the above
To exercise any of these rights, email me at mfielden@luxuriantrealty.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” I’ll respond within 45 days.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 13. I don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact me and I’ll delete it.
Third parties this site relies on
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — anonymous usage statistics
- Google Fonts (Google LLC) — loads the Inter and Inter Tight typefaces
- Web3Forms — processes contact form submissions
- Vercel — hosts the site
Each has its own privacy practices. The links above lead to their policies.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy. The “last updated” date at the top will change when I do. For material changes, I’ll flag a notice on the site for at least 30 days.
Fair housing
This site, and my real estate practice, complies with the Fair Housing Act and the California Fair Employment and Housing Act. Equal housing opportunity.
